Chromabright; is an advanced fade ingredient which helps even skin tone and decreases the appearance of uneven pigment and age spots. The brightening agent is Dimethylmethoxy Chromanyl Palmitate (DCP), a photoprotective (UVA/UVB) molecule that is 50% more effective at skin brightening than kojic acid. Derived from Vitamin E, this moisturizer protects from free radical damage caused by UV and HEV light (blue light) emitted from the sun, computer screens and cell phones.
Firming Peptides; unique low molecular weight peptides originating from the far reaches of Antarctica penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin to strengthen collagen. They help lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and firm the skin of the face and neck while providing hydration.
WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF USING RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME?
A. Sunscreens only block about 55% of the free radicals that damage our skin. The other 45% of free radical damage done to our skin can be addressed by antioxidants such as those found in our products. Unique to the marketplace, Radiance Renewal Crème goes beyond protecting against oxygen free radicals caused by sunlight and provides protection against nitrogen free radicals (RNS) and carbon free radicals (RCS) as well. These free radical species are caused by other environmental factors, such as air pollution and smoke.
In fact, one of the most unique properties of Radiance Renewal Crème is that it shields the skin from RNS and RCS. HOW DOES RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME PROTECT AGAINST OXYGEN (ROS), NITROGEN (RNS), AND CARBON (RCS) FREE RADICALS?
Radiance Renewal Crème contains LipochromanTM, a powerful antioxidant that offers triple-action protection by scavenging oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon free radicals. Free radicals are responsible for several mechanisms that trigger skin aging. They cause irreversible damage in cells and tissues, and they affect organs as well, so they are involved in a great number of diseases.
Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) are the most well-known free radicals, generated from internal sources and external stimuli like UV rays. They cause signs of aging, including wrinkles, loss of elasticity, and age spots.
Peroxynitrite, a potent Reactive Nitrogen Species (RNS), causes extensive tissue damage, including lipid peroxidation and DNA damage. It forms 3-nitrotyrosine by bonding with tyrosine in proteins, an irreversible reaction that disrupts enzyme and receptor functions, compromising cellular regulation.

HOW DOES RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME BRIGHTEN THE SKIN?
Chromabright, the brightening agent in Radiance Renewal Crème, is the only tyrosinase inhibitor on the market that helps to protect your skin. The two most popular tyrosinase inhibitors on the market are hydroquinone and kojic acid, both of which are potentially UVsensitizing.
In vitro studies confirm that the Radiance Renewal Crème brightener has no cytotoxic effects on melanocytes, keratinocytes, or fibroblasts, and neither has it demonstrated mutagenicity, or any irritation or sensitization reaction. The ChromabrightTM molecule in Radiance Renewal Crème is a completely safe brightening active.

HOW DOES RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME FIRM THE SKIN?

As skin ages, collagen synthesis decreases and degradation increases, leading to connective tissue damage and loss of skin integrity. In vitro tests have shown that Radiance Renewal Crème increases the synthesis of collagen types I, III, and IV in just 7 days.
Collagen bundles, which provide skin strength and resiliency, change with age. Fibrils become irregular in diameter and less uniformly distributed, reducing skin elasticity and suppleness. The firming marine peptides in Radiance Renewal Crème improve fiber cohesion and stabilization, maintaining a more uniform fibril diameter and spacing.
Additionally, aging causes glycation, leading to cross-linking of collagen, which reduces skin elasticity and causes stiffness. Radiance Renewal Crème inhibits glycation and protects collagen from cross-linking and degradation by inhibiting metalloproteinases MMP-2 and MMP-3.
In summary, Radiance Renewal Crème supports collagen at three stages: boosting its synthesis, organizing its formation, and protecting it from degradation.

WHEN SHOULD RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME BE APPLIED?
After cleanser and serum steps, apply a sparing amount of Radiance Renewal Crème onto face and neck twice daily.

IS THIS MOISTURIZER SAFE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?
Yes. Radiance Renewal Crème is a gentle moisturizer that does not contain acids, making it suitable for clients with sensitive skin.
WILL RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME MAKE THE SKIN SUN SENSITIVE?
No. ChromabrightTM in Radiance Renewal Crème provides excellent photoprotective properties and helps to shield your skin from UV and HEV light (blue light).

FOR BRIGHTENING THE SKIN, WHEN WOULD YOU USE RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME INSTEAD OF VITA-C 20?
In cases of very sensitive skin, rosacea, or pre-existing dermatitis, we recommend Radiance Renewal Crème as an alternative product, since Vita-C 20 (which contains 20% L-ascorbic acid) may not be tolerated in these individuals. If patient does prefer to use Vita-C 20, always pretreat skin with a barrier repair serum such as Vita Soothe or Lipid Drops to avoid irritation.

HOW LONG AFTER A PEEL CAN A CLIENT RESTART RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME?
Radiance Renewal Crème does NOT contain any acids, so you can generally apply Radiance Renewal Crème the night of a light peel.
For products that do contain glycolic acid (e.g. Dual Action Toner, Ultra Firming Marine), wait at least 24 hours after a light peel or wait until all redness is gone from the client’s skin.
After the TCA peel you will want to apply only Vita Soothe and Ultra Replenishing SPF 40 or Daily Replenishing SPF 30+ until the crusting is completed. In these cases you would not apply Radiance Renewal Crème until all light crusting has fallen off.

WHY DOESN’T RADIANCE RENEWAL CRÈME CONTAIN ANY SUNSCREEN INGREDIENTS?
We recommend using Radiance Renewal Crème twice daily, once in the morning and again at bedtime. During the day, we recommend using an additional product after applying Radiance Renewal Crème that will provide the necessary sun protection, such as Radiant Shield SPF 40 or Ultra Replenishing Sunscreen SPF 40. Always remember to reapply your sunscreen as needed to maintain protection against harmful sun damage.
